Sehat Tahaffuz Helpline

Welcome to ‘Sehat Tahaffuz-1166’, Pakistan’s premier health helpline, proudly supported by the Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination and Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI). Established in November 2019, our helpline serves as a beacon of trust, fostering community engagement, enhancing vaccination programs, and addressing the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

At ‘Sehat Tahaffuz-1166’, we are committed to educating parents and caregivers about the critical importance of vaccinating children against vaccine preventable diseases. Under the visionary leadership of Director General – FDI, our call center representatives undergo specialized training in communication strategies to effectively address public concerns and provide accurate information.

Helpline operates under the umbrella of Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination (MoNHSR&C) at the National Emergency Operation Centre (NEOC). Through collaboration with esteemed partners such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), UNICEF and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, we support immunization roll-out plans nationwide.

Since January 2022, ‘Sehat Tahaffuz-1166’ has been managed by the Federal Directorate of Immunization (FDI), under the expert guidance of Director General, FDI. This transition has led to the implementation of a digitalized Complaint Management System (CMS) to efficiently track and resolve public-reported issues, ensuring effective operations across all segments. Motivational Song – Pakistan Immunization Program

As per the directives of Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Kazi, Director General Health, Ministry of National Health Services Regulations & Coordination & Director General, Federal Directorate of Immunization, a Motivational Song was launched in order to reach out to parents/care providers all across Pakistan to create awareness of Immunization against the 12 Vaccine-Preventable Diseases. The Song also salutes the management of all provincial/area Expanded Programmes on Immunization while a special tribute to the Real heroes, THE FRONT LINE HEALTH CARE WORKERS.

World Immunization Week 2024 Commemoration Event:

As per the directives of Dr. Muhammad Ahmad Kazi, Director General Health/FDI, Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination Islamabad, The Federal Directorate of Immunization in collaboration with UNICEF Pakistan, World Health Organization- Pakistan, Gates Foundation, Pakistan Polio Eradication Initiative, DHO Office Islamabad, and other partner organizations organized a National-level World Immunization Week Commemoration Event.

The key note speakers included Dr. Zafar Iqbal Channa, Director Technical, FDI, Dr. Zaeem Zia, DHO Islamabad, Mr. Inoussa Kabore, Deputy Representative UNICEF Pakistan, Dr. Raul Bonifacio, EPI Team Lead World Health Organization- Pakistan and Dr. Nabeela Ali, CoP, JSI/USAID.

All speakers paid tribute to the front line health care workers and the parents/care providers and stated that the successful conclusion of World Immunization Week 2024 in Pakistan marks a significant milestone in our nation’s commitment to public health. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Federal Directorate of Immunization, UNICEF Pakistan, World Health Organization- Pakistan and all stakeholders involved, we’ve made strides in promoting immunization awareness and access throughout the country. From engaging activities to informative campaigns, this week showcased our collective dedication to ensuring every individual has access to life-saving vaccines.
